UNDERWATER RIGGING/LIGHTING

CINEMA SAFETY & MARINE SERVICES divers are all members of IATSE Local 80 Marine, and have extensive diving experience as well as years of on set time in all aspects of film production. We are familiar with all local bodies of water, and have worked in just about all the pools, tanks, and other bodies of water used for filming.

SAFETY DIVERS

CINEMA SAFETY & MARINE SERVICES has one of the most reliable, safety oriented dive teams in the business, having dove around the world for the last 15 years on a variety of projects. Our safety divers come completely equipped, and are personally trained and supervised by our in house instructors. All underwater safety personnel are certified at least to the of rescue diver and undergo specialized training specifically for work in the film industry. 

SCUBA Instruction

William Hall, Owner of CINEMA SAFETY & MARINE SERVICES, has been teaching people to Scuba Dive for over 27 years. From Open Water to Instructor we can certify any cast or crew member in as little as 4 days. We can also teach any specialty diving certifications including Mixed Gas, Cave Diving and Rebreathers. We can teach in our own private pool or come to your site bringing all the necessary equipment and materials.

CAL OSHA-IATSE COMPLIANT

If an actor or crew member (such as the Director or DP) is needed to be underwater for a particular shot, and is not certified, a currently certified and insured instructor MUST be present to oversee the diving operation.Often it is also necessary to outfit personnel and take them in the water for a quick safety check and skill session. William Hall, owner of CINEMA SAFETY & MARINE SERVICES can fill all those requirements so production can proceed safely and efficiently.

UNDERWATER SALVAGE

One of the many specialty services CINEMA SAFETY & MARINE SERVICES has to offer. We have on several occasions, sunk and recovered boats and vehicles for various film projects. We got good at it. If its down under the water and needs to be brought up, we can make it happen.
